Avril trained with John McKee & Son, becoming a partner in January 1996.

Her main areas of expertise are in Banking and Finance Law and Company Law with a passing interest in Employment Law.

Avril is recognised as a leader in her field by both the Legal 500 and Chambers. She has particular expertise in advising Banks in relation to M & A, property finance, business finance and PFI/PPP transactions.

Chambers stated recently of her “in terms of customer service Avril McCammon is the best in Belfast”.

Outside law, Avril is very interested in education and is on the Board of Governors of her local Grammar School. She is actively involved with the Association for Quality Education who are campaigning against the abolition of academic selection and the move to a more vocational based curriculum. Avril is also involved with her local Church and is kept busy with her family.
