Queen’s University Belfast: LLB (Hons) Law, Certificate in Professsional Legal Studies and Certificate in Commercial Conveyancing.
Member of the Law Society of Northern Ireland, the Company and Commercial Lawyers Group and the Northern Ireland Commercial Property Lawyers Association
Gerard trained as a solicitor with Belfast firm McCollum and Company. He was as Associate Solicitor with that firm and later with Rosemary Connolly Solicitors, before joining John McKee and Son in March 2004.
Gerard has responsibility for private client work including conveyancing, Wills and trusts, probate and litigation. He is a member of the banking team and as such represents Banks and other financial institutions in secured lending matters
Gerard also acts in Commercial Property transactions and acquisitions for development. In addition he has a wide range of experience in other aspects of commercial law such as property litigation and licensing.
Away from work, Gerard is kept busy with his young family. He enjoys travelling and has visited Kenya and Sri Lanka in recent years. His interests include music, playing golf and following the fortunes of the Down Gaelic football team. He is also a member of the Northern Ireland Autism charity, PAPA. |
