Jill works in the Commercial and Banking Litigation team. She acts on behalf of a number of high profile financial institutions and loan funds in a wide range of recoveries actions including the enforcement of personal guarantees, the enforcement of equitable security, the recovery of residual shortfalls following the sale of security and professional negligence actions.
Jill acts on behalf of a number of Insolvency Practitioners in their capacity as Administrator, Trustee in Bankruptcy and Liquidator in a wide range of actions including challenges to their appointment, actions concerning antecedent transactions, actions to obtain vacant possession of assets and actions to realise assets for the benefit of creditors.
Jill acts on behalf of Fixed Charge Receivers and property agents in the recovery of rent arrears, recovery of service charge arrears and obtaining vacant possession of properties. She acts on behalf of a number of private clients in the resolution of disputes arising out of commercial agreements and contracts and in debt recovery matters. Jill is highly experienced in bringing bankruptcy and winding up proceedings and also prosecutes on behalf of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.
In all matters, Jill’s focus is on providing clear, pragmatic advice to her clients. She is recognised in Chambers as having a capacity “to make the complex simple”.
She is a skilled negotiator but is also highly experienced in aggressively pursuing matters through the court system in appropriate circumstances
Jill is qualified to practise in the Republic of Ireland. In 2015, Jill became a qualified mediator, having undertaken the Law Society of Northern Ireland mediation course.
