Julie Huddleston
Julie joined John McKee & Son in 2006 and became a partner in the firm in 2008.
She graduated from Queens University in 1995 and was admitted as a Solicitor in Northern Ireland in 1998 and in the Republic of Ireland in 2000. She went on to complete an advanced company law diploma with the Law Society of Ireland in 2002 and a commercial property diploma with the Law Society of Ireland in 2007.
Julie spent two years practising in the Corporate Department of Dublin firm Patrick F O'Reilly & Co and left there to join PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP's Corporate Legal Services department where she was employed as a senior legal adviser for over three years until joining John McKee & Son.
Julie continues to hold practising certificates for Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and currently advises UK, Irish and overseas banks on the secured lending aspects of a wide range of Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland corporate and property transactions, including group arrangements and diverse financial structures. She has particular expertise in cross-border lending.
Julie also advises on corporate/commercial issues to Northern Irish, UK and international clients, relating to all aspects of company law and corporate governance. She has acted on behalf of a wide range of clients, both in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, from sole traders and start-up companies, to multi-national IT and telecoms providers and public sector bodies such as Bord Failte, Enterprise Equity and International Fund for Ireland. Her experience spans a wide range of investment and corporate/commercial work, covering everything from advising on shareholders agreements, partnership and joint venture structures, company buy backs of own shares, mergers and acquisitions, to being involved in a listing on the Dublin and London Stock Exchanges.
She also tutors on the Company Law course at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies.
Away from the office, Julie enjoys attending the gym , reading and is a keen traveller.
