Philip McBride

Philip graduated from Queens University in 1997, completing a Masters in Computers and Law in 1998.

Eager to gain more experience in a business environment Philip was accepted onto the Premier Graduate Management Programme before moving into the IT field working as a Project Executive and more recently as a Business Analyst working in Belfast and Chicago.

Philip completed his training in the firm in 2006 and is a member of the firm’s banking team and as such represents Banks and other financials institutions advising on all aspects of security documentation, banking law and insolvency issues most notably Ulster Bank Limited, Santander (UK) plc and the Nationwide Building Society. Philip is currently seconded to Ulster Bank Limited, Group Legal Services one-day a week since 2005 assisting with various security matters and providing support to the Banks solicitors.

Philip also has a thriving private client portfolio assisting in the purchase and sale of domestic properties. He also advises private clients in respect of enduring powers of attorneys, wills and the administration of estates.  

Philip recently took time out from his long working hours to train and run in the Belfast Marathon raising a substantial sum of money for CLIC Sergant.

In his spare time, Philip’s main interests are football, swimming, and golf.  Philip swam competitively for Ulster and Ireland, and now holds a number of Ulster Masters swim records.  Philip also plays golf at Shandon Park Golf Club when his wife allows him!
