John McKee and Son Solicitors

Helen obtained a degree in Politics and Philosophy followed by a masters degree in Politics at Queen’s University, Belfast.  She was admitted as a Solicitor in Northern Ireland in 1989 having carried out her apprenticeship with Wilson Nesbitt, Solicitors.  

After qualifying, Helen began her career in plaintiff litigation and family law, first at Holmes &  Moffitts, Solicitors and following the birth of her son at McCoubrey Hinds, Solicitors. Having taken a career break to raise her two children she joined John McKee & Son in February 2001.

Helen is a member of the dispute resolution team and now specialises in defence litigation involving personal injury and employer liability claims for major insurance companies.  She finds the work interesting and challenging as it varies from road traffic accidents, slips, trips to wide ranging work related accidents in many establishments from large retail outlets to farms and factories.  She was recently involved in asbestos, stress at work related cases.

In her spare time she has recently become involved in property development and enjoys yoga and fell walking.
