Alison joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in 2003 and was admitted as a solicitor in Northern Ireland in 2005 and in England and Wales in 2015. She became a partner in 2014. She is a member of the firm's Banking Restructuring and Insolvency Team and represents Banks and other financial institutions advising on all aspects of security documentation and banking law. She acts on behalf of a number of lenders, notably Ulster Bank Group, Bank of Ireland Group, First Trust Bank, Danske Bank and Santander Group (UK) plc. Alison also advises lenders on all aspects of insolvency and in enforcing their security. She acts on behalf of a number of insolvency practitioners and receivers and advises them in respect of the disposal of assets and properties.
Alison advises clients in relation to the purchase and sale of commercial and residential properties and acts for a number of clients who have residential property portfolios. She has experience of Landlord and Tenant matters. In addition, Alison advises clients in respect of enduring powers of attorneys, controllerships, wills and the administration of estates. Her particular area of expertise and interest is the appointment of a controller when someone is incapable of managing their own affairs.
