Julie is a member of the firm’s Wills, Trusts & Estate Planning Team. She qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales in 2009 and was admitted as a solicitor in Northern Ireland in 2017.  Julie specialises in advising clients on making Wills including discretionary and disabled trusts, wills for co-ownership of property, mirror wills, wills documenting business interests and tax planning. Julie has relationships with accountants and specialist financial and estate planning advisers and ensures that our clients receive the best advice to suit their personal circumstances.

Julie also advises clients in respect of Enduring Powers of Attorney and dealing with registration and issues surrounding practical application including questions of competence and mental capacity. She also acts on behalf of clients in making applications to the Office of Care and Protection to have a Controller appointed when a person has lost capacity to take care of their own financial affairs.

Julie advises clients on nursing and care homes costs.

Julie has considerable experience in acting on behalf of Executors in the administration of estates and on behalf of administrators where there is no will. She also provides advice relating to disputes regarding Wills and Trusts.
