John McKee Solicitors are delighted to be participating in the Will Aid scheme again this November. The scheme has proved incredibly successful – last year alone we raised £ 2,902.00 as part of Will Aid.
Have you considered making a Will? Private Client Solicitor Stephen Martin states “Making a Will couldn’t be more straightforward yet often people would rather put off having to think through what they would wish to happen in the event of their death. No-one knows what is around the corner so having your wishes made clear through making a Will ensures that as far as possible your intended beneficiaries receive what you envisage. Leaving your affairs to chance can cause confusion and unnecessary extra expense for family members.”
Private Client Partner Gerard Small added “Will Aid is a scheme designed to raise funds for nine leading charities. We are donating time to support these charities by preparing basic Wills without charging the normal fee. We will take instructions from you to make your Will, prepare a draft for your approval and then attend on you to sign your Will. We would then ask you to make a donation to charity in accordance with the scheme.”
The suggested donation is £95 for a single basic Will and £150 for a pair of basic "mirror" Wills.
The nine charities supported by Will Aid are:-
- Age UK
- British Red Cross
- Christian Aid
- Save the Children
You can contact Stephen on 028 90 232303 or firstname.lastname@example.org to make an appointment.
The scheme only runs for the month of November.
